NEWS IN BRIEF

Senator Coburn Apologizes to Senator Reid

By presidential-politics.com
August 1, 2012

In a call-in show with C-SPAN last month U.S. Senator from Oklahoma Tom Coburn called the Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid incompetent. He called Mr. Read by name and added the ultimate insult  that the Majority Leader is incapable of carrying on the tradition of the Senate.

On Monday, on the floor of the U.S. senate, Mr.Coburn apologized to Mr. read. Well, he did as he should have. Insulting another Senator by name is hardly keeping with Senate tradition.
