Presidential Election, 2012

New Hampshire is allotted four (4) electoral votes out of the 538 that constitutes the Electoral College.
New Hampshire being a winner-takes-all state, the winning candidate will receive all 4 electoral votes.
The winning number is 270.

In Presidential election 2008, Senator Obama won in new Hampshire. He received 54.13% of the vote to Senator McCain's 44.52%.

U.S. House of Representatives Election in New Hampshire, 2012

The State of New Hampshire did not gain or lose congressional seats on account of the 2010 United States census - congressional districts remain at two.
A redistricting map was passed by the State House and State Senate which was signed in to law by Governor John Lynch on April 23, 2011.

Frank Guinta [R] Incumbent U.S. Rep.
Carol Shea-Porter [D] Former U.S. Rep.

Ms. Shea-Porter served as the U.S. Representative of congressional district 1 from 2007 to 2011.
In the mid-term election 2010 Mr. Frank Guinta defeated Ms. Shea-Porter. He received 54% of the vote.

DISTRICT 2

Charlie Bass [R] Incumbent U.S. Rep.
Ann McLane Kuster [D]
Hardy Marcia [Libertarian]
Danny Keating [Independent]

Ms. Kuster who is an Attorney was the Democratic Party nominee for congressional district 2 in the 2010 mid-term election and  narrowly lost to Mr. Bass (Bass 48% to Kuster 47%).

Gubernatorial Election in New Hampshire, 2012

The incumbent four term  governor John Lynch is eligible to seek re-election for a fifth term, but has decided to retire.
The primary was  held on September 11, 2012 and following are the candidates:

All New Hampshire 2012 General Election Races Are Still Very Close

We have a presidential race, a governor's race and two United States House races in New Hampshire all more or less tied with just 29 days to go for the general election.
In all four contests the Democratts have a very slight lead which can only be considered insignificant at this point.

N.H. Governor's Race Is Heating Up - Sort Of !

Retiring four-term Governor John Lynch is a tough act to follow. Simply put, new Hampshire citizens know him and like him.

Apperantly, with the primary election set for September 11, 2012 fast approaching the main contenders of both parties are still fighting for name recognition. According to recent polls more than half  the electorate have no prereference for  any candidate.

Former Senate Majority Leadr Maggie Hassan and former State Senator Jackie Cilley are in a contest for the Democratic Party nomination.

The Republican Party candidates are former State Rep. Kevin Smith and 2010 U.S. Senate candidate Ovide Lamontagne.
