Romney Enlists Himself In The Birther Movement

By presidential-politics.com
August 25, 2012

Addressing a large rally in Michigan, Governor Romney, the presumptive presidential nominee of the Republican Party first mentioned the two hospitals where he and his wife were born and then said this: "No one's ever asked to see my birth certificate."  He has later said that it was just a joke.

It is hard to believe that Mr. Romney was joking. It is the weekend before your Party's convention and 74 days to the election. Not the time that any candidate for President will enter a minefield for fun. Sounds more like a Go-ahead to the Birthers to take on the President at the convention.

Michigan Presidential Primary on February 28. 2012.

[02-17-2012]

The upcoming primaries on February 28, 2012 in Michigan and Arizona are important for all candidates. Michigan in particular is crucial for former Governor Mitt Romney.

Michigan is Mr. Romney's home state (he was born in Michigan). His father was a very popular governor in Michigan. Massachusetts, where Mr. Romney was governor is a neighboring state. A loss in Michigan would be a devastating blow to his campaign. Some current polls put former senator Santorum ahead of Mr. Romney in Michigan. It would be interesting to follow Romney campaign's strategy in the next eleven days.
