Hawaii U.S. Senate Race

By: presidential-politics.com

When former Governor Linda Lingle joined the race as a Republican Party candidate, the general consensus was that there would be a closely contested race for the United States senate seat being vacated by Senator Daniel K Akaka. Indeed the Republican Party was counting on Ms. Lingle to help them take control of the senate next year. This, however, has proved not to be the case. Polls indicate that Ms. Lingle is way behind the Democratic candidate Mazie Hirono.
